5K Road Race/Walk Returns to Apple Festival
This year the 5K Classic Road race will once again be part of the South Carolina Apple Festival. The West Oak Wrestling Team is sponsoring the race. Proceeds will be used to pay for the team’s trip to Pennsylvania in January.
The race will begin at 8 A. M. on Saturday September 6 at West Oak Middle School. Mr. Wayne Terry has measured the course to USATF specifications. Prizes will awarded to overall, as well as, age division winners from elementary age to 60 and over.
Cost of race is $10 pre-registered until September 4th and $15 day of race. Applications may be obtained by contacting the Westminster Chamber at 864-647-5316 or Coach Jordan at 864-431-1941.Checks should be made payable to West oak High School. Tee shirts may be purchased for $10 the day of the race.
